      Top 3 Satellite TV Providers

      by Janet Hamilton

So many things have happened over these last few years that have meant massive technological developments in the world. Now you can get awesome things like Pokemon Go! and you can record and watch your favorite shows without having stop and rewind the VCR. Enter: Satellite TV providers. These have solved the problem of tripping over cords in the living room and having to just deal with the fact that you missed your favorite show because you had to work late.

Naturally, you want to make the right decision when it comes to television and choose the best satellite TV service because despite appearances, that little box in your living room is pretty nifty and important, so we’ve put together a list of the top three satellite TV providers.

      Verizon Fios

With 100% fiber-optic capability, Verizon Fios is one of the best satellite TV services you can go for when it comes to satellite television. Picture this, you turn on your television and it takes a long time to load up that you’ve missed a good few minutes of your show. The outrage is real. It doesn’t have to be. With this particular provider, it goes fast, and it is quite possibly one of the most reliable providers out there when it comes to satellite TV providers. Although it’s only available in 13 states, it is already taking them by storm and beating out a number of competitors.

As a premium customer, you can record 12 shows at once with 200 hours of programming, so it’s a pretty sweet deal. If you don’t watch that many shows, you can customize the number of shows you watch for $65, and you can have access to 245 channels for $75. It’s a pretty sweet deal, so when you’re looking at satellite TV providers, this one could be your best bet, if it is available in your state.

      DirecTV

This one is a gem for all of the sports junkies out there. Dads, gather your buds because you don’t have to head to your local sports bar anymore and waste ten minutes of the game trying to get comfortable. With DirecTV, you can get everything sports-related right in your living room. It’s got features like comprehensive search functionality, Picture-in-Picture, and plans like NFL Sunday Ticket. With up to six plans, it’s flexible and fast. It has plans to suit everyone.

There are specific channel packages, where 315 channels cost $125 per month for two years. The smallest number of channels you can get is 145 for $50 a month for a year, and then it adds an additional $5 thereafter. It’s definitely worth a go if you’re not about going under 100 channels. It’s an endless session of channel surfing, so you’re bound to find at least one thing you like on a channel. This is the best satellite TV provider if you’re into your sports, and if you’re into a lot of channels.

      Comcast Xfinity

One of the greatest things about Comcast is the memory – it’s like a TV show elephant – with 500GB for the hundreds of wonderful shows out there. You can record up to five shows at once, and with 140 channels at $45 a month for the first year, and 260 channels at $100 a month for the first year, you’re going to need that function. It’s incredible for recording, and it’s incredible if there’s just not enough time in the day to watch everything you’d like. You can talk to it, like K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider or Jarvis from Iron Man! You can ask it what you should watch next, and it will give you personalized suggestions for what you should watch based on your favorites that you watch often.

A word of caution before you go jumping right into this one, however, X1 DVR is only available when you merge it with your landline telephone and the internet. It costs $90 monthly, but the X1 only lasts for one year, so choose this one if you know what you’re getting into and once you’ve done your research on it. But it could be the most worthy provider for you if you give it a go!
