Exterior Features

Interior Features
Larger interior than the preceding RX, the 2016 model adds some rear-seat legroom to enhance passenger comfort. The new RX is a five-passenger model though some reports reveal that a seven-passenger version is planned. There is a leather wrapped steering wheel and vinyl upholstery as standard in the base model. There are ventilated sports seats, leather upholstery and special gauges with the F sport package.
Technology
Lexus retains an old-style version of its Remote Touch Interface for the latest RX, a controller that is mounted to the center console which works like a computer mouse and enables the driver to navigate selections and menus shown on the infotainment screen that’s embedded into the top part of the dashboard. For 2016, a brand new 12.3-inch infotainment display is readily available, which provides a new Panoramic View Monitor and a full-screen navigation map. Other features include the rear view camera, the Display Audio technology interface, nine speaker sound system and Bluetooth audio and phone connectivity.
Engine/ Fuel Efficiency
The MDX provides only 1 engine; a 295 horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 mated to the standard nine-speed automatic transmission and the front- or all-wheel drive. With the all-wheel drive bring fuel efficiency down to 18 mpg city/26 mpg highway, the front-wheel drive increases the fuel economy somewhat coming in at 19 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway.

Safety
With the 2016 RX, Lexus debuts its modern Lexus Safety System+ selection package. It includes pre-collision warning system with an automatic braking, dynamic cruise control with complete-stop capacity, lane-keep assist, and lane-departure warning system, and automatic high-beam headlights.
